This could’ve easily been a state of the art review in a high impact journal, and Sergio was kind enough to prepare it for our project.

Can’t miss material, with non-invasive correlates coming next week.
We present another publication-quality chapter from ShockWaves, the 1st chapter in the RHC section.

Sergio Caravita presents a masterclass on the invasive PA waveform.

Hmm, i fire off emails on my phone all the time. I've never been asked to take an anger management class.

Left as an exercise to the reader: can you identify any structural differences that might explain why exactly the same email from Prof Planey and I are perceived in different ways?
Based on this experience, I developed a document with template emails that I could tweak and paste. I have a similar document of template emails now that I am faculty.

Also, I will never send an important email from my phone. Never.
At one job, I was literally forced to take an 'anger management' and etiquette class over a typo in an email (which sent prematurely, due to a glitch in Outlook)

God forbid there's a complication. And valuable learning opportunities for trainees will now be truncated by hospitals who don't want to eat the cost of anesthesia.

Also the sheer number of preventable errors that will occur because people feel rushed to finish *on time* instead of doing it right

Finally: we need a moratorium on any more retrospective studies on this.

The last 10 years of retrospective studies on piptazo have led to a LOT of misleading studies.

More retro studies will NOT help.

We need high-quality RCTs.

As always I'd be happy to change my mind, but I need real data.

If herd immunity via infection works, why did we not eliminate polio in the US until we had a vaccine? Why did we need a vaccine to eradicate smallpox? These and other illnesses have been around for a very long time. They kill & disable. Vaccines are safe, effective, and lifesaving.
Journalists writing about Jay Bhattacharya should remember this he GBD wasn’t just about opening schools for poor kids as he now claims.

It was about herd immunity via natural immunity.

Quote this passage from the GBD when writing about it. Don’t gloss over it.

Vaccines have eliminated or dramatically reduced countless diseases over hundreds of years.

Examples:
Smallpox? ERADICATED globally.
Polio? 99% eliminated globally.
Diphtheria? Nearly 100% eliminated in the US.
Measles & mumps? 99% reduced in the US.

Vaccines save MILLIONS OF LIVES every year.
