Just got back from Detroit and can confirm its awesomeness.
Great to see my beloved city of Detroit get the glowing press it deserves. If you haven’t been to the Motor City recently, come see what you are missing. Gift link:

I mean, she murdered a defenseless dog so I'm not surprised.
NEW: Kristi Noem, while governor of South Dakota, supplemented her roughly $130,000 salary by secretly accepting $80,000 donated to a political nonprofit she was affiliated with, records show.

She never disclosed this income on federal ethics forms.
Kristi Noem Secretly Took a Cut of Political Donations
A dark money group paid $80,000 to Noem’s personal company when she was governor of South Dakota. She did not include this income on her federal disclosure forms, a likely violation of ethics…

@jaketapper.bsky.social You do realize, as a lover of history, that Harvey Milk was a Navy Korean-war veteran and gave his life in service to his country, right?

Ranked-choice elections are beautiful things, but they actually very rarely cause surprises.

Even if every other vote preference went to Cuomo, and half of Lander’s went to Cuomo too, Mamdani would still win on the 11th preference distribution.

I think you can start practicing “Mayor Mamdani”

LUTNICK: Generally 10%

DEAN: Walmart has already increased the cost of bananas by 8%

This was always a remarkable story. RIP Mr. Tyler.
Harrison Ruffin Tyler, the last surviving grandson of John Tyler, the 10th president of the U.S., died on Sunday at age 96. He was the last of three generations spanning nearly the entire history of the country. When his grandfather was born, George Washington had just become president.

Thank you
I’m so tired of the politicisation of 24 Sussex. How embarrassing. We’re a G7 country with a $2T economy; fix the official residence of the Prime Minister of Canada. We’ve been poisoned into paralysis by a toxic opposition Con party that’s demonised everything to do with govt.

Israel is represented at Eurovision by Yuval Raphael. Raphael is a survivor of the massacre at the Nova Music Festival. She hid under a pile of dead bodies in a bomb shelter for eight hours until she was rescued. Of the 50 people in the shelter, she was one of only eight to survive. #eurovision2025
