This should be the top story in Axios’s morning read. But it isn’t. It’s the FIFTH top story.

When we're done with all of this, we should really get rid of:

- the two party system
- the presidency
- the US Senate

If we had a parlimentary, multi-party system, we could have elections in months to remove this clearly insane guy from office. Instead, we have to wait almost three years.

In the fight against authoritarianism, there is no stronger weapon than mass noncooperation: strikes, boycotts, etc.

Protests and direct action is important, but mostly as methods of convincing large numbers of people to not comply. We can stop the regime if we refuse to cooperate with them.

Call to Action: Every pro-democracy & progressive institution should transition 100% to Bluesky and get off Elon Musk’s Twitter/X platform. Make it an empty & worthless platform. Need rapid change in lots of places. Examples below. Push on groups to change quickly. #TakeDownTwitter-X

Yup. People don’t vote for parties. They vote for candidates they think will reduce their stress
Democrats can't just sit around talking about messaging strategy. They need to change their actual policies if they want to win.

This is more important than you realize. Bluesky doesn’t downgrade links. Which means news sites will get more traffic from here than other sites.

Which gives them economic reasons to post here first.
Bluesky says it is now sending referral traffic through its "go" subdomain to make it easier for publishers to track the traffic coming from the social network (Sarah Perez/TechCrunch)

Starlink at the White House complex — and the messy way its installation began — is obviously fascinating. But I think it's also worth scrutinizing why federal workers at GSA are being offered the X app as one of their only approved "news" options.

I want to highlight what I believe is a significant document that I reviewed for this story. It's a memorandum of understanding between DOGE & CFPB. In all the coverage of DOGE's takeover of agencies I haven't read or heard about a document like this. I think this stands out

When we generalize about any group of people , we shut out the people who are on the fence. Trump is going to convince a lot of MAGA to stop supporting him. I'm ok being told I have TDS if the end result is that we convince the 1.5m more people that voted for him, to no longer consider him.
Part of what has me in a spiral is that there is no reaching them, Mark. They cannot have a civil conversation that does not include insults and hatred. That's the only way they can live with the ugliness of their choices. They are now devoid of diplomacy and decency.

I’ll say it again. What makes this platform different is that it’s moderated. And, The Terms of Service are enforced. Bluesky is not like Twitter

The world needs a platform where people who disagree can have a real discussion.
The problem is you assume they want to "engage and have reals discussions on real issues." They don't. When confronted with facts, data, science, actual laws, and the like, they resort to spewing lies, disinformation and hate.
Some don't want posts like this on @bsky.app. I want more. Why ?

This is a moderated platform. Which means unbridled hate is removed. And blocked.

Making this is a platform where we can engage and have real discussions on real issues.

@bsky.app w 100m users changes political discourse.
