Hello, Facebook (and real life) friends who are finding me here as they look for alternatives to Meta! Fair warning: I use this platform to scream into the void. It’s almost all politics, all the time. If that’s not your bag, no hard feelings. If you want to scream along, great.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

the situation room? the national security crisis management center at the white house?
Q: "Why are White House officials…meeting with Rep. Boebert in an effort to try to get her to not sign this petition calling for the release of the [Epstein] files?"

Leavitt: "I'm not going to detail conversations that took place in the situation room."

CBS News' Weijia Jiang: "Did the president ever spend hours at Jeffrey Epstein’s house with a victim?"

Karoline Leavitt: "These emails prove nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong."

Earnest post: there is increasingly direct evidence that Trump participated in child sex trafficking or at least knew about it.

He should resign, be impeached and removed from office, and prosecuted.

Even if you don’t think that WILL happen it’s important to say publicly that it SHOULD happen.

One of the GOP's sweatier Epstein defenses has been "if they had good stuff they'd have used it when Biden was president." But the growing awareness that Garland spiked anything that could look political explains this!
I feel like “mad at Merrick Garland” is going to hit a whole new level.

The House Republicans continue to protect a pedophile sex trafficking ring and all their friends who were involved.

Not surprising, but hilarious on a day when the GOP is insisting that a partial release of emails was meant to smear the innocent President.

Why keep hiding the files then?
Nancy Mace is expected to pull her support for the petition to release the Epstein Files, the day before Adelita Grijalva is sworn in.

Democrats at every level of power could simply repeat "he must resign" over and over and over again. It's what the GOP would do if the situation were reversed. Further erode his power by pushing him to lash out more.

And it would help this effort if every Dem said something along the lines of "We *know* he rapes women. The only question is does he also rape girls."
The message from Dems the rest of the year should be simple: Trump must resign over Epstein
"House Democrats on Wednesday released emails in which Jeffrey Epstein wrote that President Trump had “spent hours at my house” with one of Epstein’s victims, among other messages that suggested that the convicted sex offender believed Mr. Trump knew more about his abuse than he has acknowledged."

Our leading news organizations turned a cache of ultimately-innocuous emails into a scandal-coded weeklong series of front page stories leading into the 2016 election. If they do not cover the "emails from notorious pedophile implication the President" emails with the same fervor, it's curious!

Remember how Elon said that Trump was in the Epstein files and that’s why he won’t let them be released and he apparently knew all about that but then decided to be friends with Trump again a week later so he just deleted that tweet and doesn’t mention it and no one regards that as a bit of an issue

Wow! A new low for Ken Paxton. His deranged press release claims that there cannot be any legitimate purpose for legal defense for people facing deportation — effectively saying that removal defense is not legitimate and only “radicals” would want people to have lawyers.

Horrid stuff from him.
