Another recent paper in #BirdStudy showed autumn densities of Pheasant & Red-Legged Partridge in southern England can be an astonishing 2,500 birds per km2 on land near releases. After winter, there were still up to 700 birds/km2. That's huge numbers.

I heard today that the ‘small boats crisis’ was actually *caused* by Nigel Farage and Brexit. That before Brexit we had sufficient influence in the EU and could negotiate with France. The growth in numbers is linked to changes since Brexit. Farage is the *cause* not the solution.
