say what you will about Chrono Cross but Squaresoft looking at Chrono Trigger and being like "yeah there's no fucking way we can just blast something like that out again" is probably one of the most prescient decisions they could've made
chrono trigger has gotta be one of the weirdest targets of nostalgia-bait because like basically everything that aims to copy chrono trigger ends up being something completely different
doing your AI "this is what a chrono trigger remake should be" and turning it into a Four Guys in a Row-like when that's like the one thing Chrono Trigger isn't
