Leftist. Anti-fascist, anti-tankie, anti-authoritarian.
I'm pretty ready for the Nuremburg trials for these people.
A very disturbing video has emerged from today’s ICE/CBP operations in Avondale.

An officer pushes a woman to the ground, prompting bystanders to react angrily and throw what appears to be a rock at a moving unmarked vehicle.

This seems to be the new normal in Chicago.

Not sure any other policy theory has been attempted more frequently and failed 100% of the time like trickle down economics
"Republicans insist that when you cut taxes for the wealthy, it’s like feeding Popeye a can of spinach; pumped with this almost magical fuel, the entire economy will burst with new power and vitality. There will be so much economic activity that revenues will surge, and deficits will even go down."
Republicans are trying to sell a bizarre fantasy on the economy
Would you believe we're on the cusp of a miraculous eruption of prosperity unlike anything Americans have experienced before?

It's 2015. President Barack Obama has accepted a "sky palace" jumbo jet from the Qatari government, which he'll own after he leaves office. "Everybody relax," he says in an interview with the New York Times. Everyone does. The networks then televise the military parade in his honor on his birthday.

What a weird way to say:

Under Biden… ‘23, ‘24 real GDP growth exceeded expectations

Inflation was tamed without a recession

A record 16.6 million jobs created

A record 21 million new business applications

Lowest avg unemployment of any admin in > 50 years…

But, you be you, Mike…
Mike Johnson: "We're transitioning from Bidenomics and the terrible economy that was delivered by the last administration. It takes a while to turn that ship around."

in the trump administration, “merit” is pronounced “white” like how strom thrumond said it.
Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story.

Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver.

This is what "merit" means to them.

I am trying to imagine the reaction of Joe Biden or Barack Obama had spoken to a Republican governor in this way at a public event.

I just can’t. None of us can.
Gov. Mills: I’ll comply with the state and federal laws

Trump: We are the federal law. You better do it because you’re not going to get any federal funds.

Acosta is being forced out of CNN for this interview, because apparently pressing MAGA people to take a stance on horrible actions Trump has done is unacceptable to CNN.
ACOSTA: Do you agree with Trump's decision to pardon violent people?

REP. BURCHETT: If they were truly violent, no. But I don't know that?

ACOSTA: What do you mean you don't know? We're showing the footage right now.

Yes!!! Say more of this!!! It’s the most astonishingly, openly corrupt administration in US history, literally from the first day, and it’ll only get worse. They aren’t even trying to hide it. It’s a degree of corruption that could destabilize the whole country, the whole world.
The story of this first week is corruption. Billionaires seated on the inaugural stage in front of the cabinet, crypto pump and dump, and the illegal firing of IGs. The media is acting like this is too chaotic and bewildering to interpret, but they are just afraid of sounding shrill. It’s corrupt.

Trump’s pardons include "violent offenders who went after the police on Jan. 6 with baseball bats, two-by-fours and bear spray”, precisely what loyal Trump propagandists Sean Hannity and Jesse Watters explicitly said shouldn’t happen.

It will never not be insane to me that a *GOP* president can happily *repeat* that he "likes" the world's worst, most totalitarian, most crazy & anti-American dictator, without any domestic political consequences for him from his own party, the opposition, or the media.
Never.

I, for one, am shocked that the focus for Republicans would be on making rich people even richer and hurting the already marginalized! How could anyone have predicted this??
A GOP fiscal blueprint Sen Wyden obtained confirms Trump/Musk's presidency will be focused on two things: (i) lowering already low tax burdens of the very rich; and (ii) gutting essential services and benefits for retirees, children, veterans, the disabled and the very poor, as I discussed here:
