It's genuinely confusing why, over and over again, organizations that cater to, or are dependent upon, artists writers and creators decide to absolutely fucking enrage their constituency with "AI," only to be required to backtrack after considerable loss of goodwill
San Diego Comic-Con will no longer allow AI 'art' to be displayed at their event
"Material created by AI either partially or wholly, is not allowed in the art show"

No matter HOW much time you spent on something - no matter how much of your skill and practice went into being able to do it - a complete stranger can IMMEDIATELY copy it into any number of things, take credit for it, and profit from it.

For further context twitter added a button that allows users to generate ai images using existing art posts from artists. It removes glaze and it basically reskins the artwork by using the existing work as a base. Twitter is no longer a safe space for art

...Someone found a five year old theory comment I made on Jacksepticeye's original LP of Death Stranding and decided to helpfully inform me that my theory was correct...except the sequel has been out less than two weeks, and I am only like a third of the way through it, effectively spoiling me.
