Honestly, those kinds of comments are so upsetting, and I really don't understand why they are considered socially acceptable. They shouldn't be. No matter what horrible thing you think someone is doing, that response is not okay.

Honestly. Also back when people knew how to use the block button and were a little less likely to start crap. It was easier to make friends, easier to find RP pals who actually knew how to write. Now I live in fear of upsetting people and feel like I interact with people less than ever.

That's super fair, I get being attached to certain accessories. It's unfortunate there's not any kind of toggle or another fix there, but I can get why it might not necessarily be an option. Really just depends.
