LOVE Saskatchewan and hate how conservative policies destroy. Rural farmer, librarian and community volunteer trying to rebuild one curling rink and co-operative at a time.

One of my sons is 5 years old and non verbal. I love sharing his artwork. He’s really into Toca Boca lately. That’s a ceiling fan for anyone questioning it lol.

Interesting little tidbit:

Todd Smith, the nuclear zealot who was formerly Ontario’s energy minister and who advocated a major nuclear expansion instead of renewables, left office to take a job with…

CANDU Energy, a producer of nuclear reactors

He’s part of #Canada’s delegation to COP30

One of the few positive aspects of this era in American history is that it's super-easy to identify the villains.

I study fascism. I’ve already fled America.

For months, I’ve been following a Canadian ostrich farm ordered to cull its flock after a bird flu outbreak. It was a cause célèbre for MAHA activists, a MAGA billionaire, and, of course, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The trucker convoy with birds ended last night. They lost. www.msnbc.com/news/news-an...
Why the conspiratorial right rallied around a flock of ostriches
The anti-vaccine, anti-government crusade to save "the miracle cure birds" is over — and the fringe activists lost.

Today the Supreme Court of Canada cleared the way for the H5N1 outbreak on the BC ostrich farm to finally be contained. Unfortunately, the deaths of the ostriches won't end the disease their followers have spread.

We all need a dream. Help Clare throw a heater right across the Blue Jays home plate! (chewing tobacco optional)
I have decided that my only goal for 2026 is to somehow throw the first pitch at a Blue Jays game on behalf of @thebeaverton.com. We can make it happen, friends. I believe in us.

I gotta tell you all. I wore a vintage Jays jersey for Game 1 and they won. I forgot to wear it for Game 2 and they lost, so I made sure to wear it in Game 3 and they lost anyway. For Games 4 & 5 I just wore Baseballism shirts and they dominated. It's almost like what I wear doesn't affect the game.

If you make 130% of the federal poverty level, you qualify for SNAP.

A family of four, making $40,560, qualifies for SNAP benefits meaning thousands of Missouri teachers qualify.

I’m tired of the bullshit. Most of the people who receive snap benefits work.

Seems like there’s some sort of ambient “is it good to stay on X, actually?” going on and my question is this: if there were a newspaper distributed in your town full of racism and Holocaust denial, would you write a column in it because you want to reach people there?

🇨🇦🇺🇦🤔Of course Gavin Newsom outweighs Donald Trump in every way:
Intelligence, Respectability, Decency, Attractive, Well-Spoken, etc.
Donald Trump is the only reason Canadians won’t visit & America is losing millions in revenue bc of it.
We won’t put up with his bullshit.

Here is Reagan's full, brief address on tariffs from April 25, 1987.

The parts Ontario used in its ad are highlighted.

Judge for yourself if it's use is "selective" and "misrepresents" what Reagan said.

You know when you watch a disaster movie… and the pres runs the country from a high tech bunker under the WH? That bunker is under the east wing. It’s called the Presidential Emergency Operations Center, or PEOC. And the ballroom is probably a cover for upgrades.

Now I have really bad ADHD and no self esteem.

Women! The patriarchy lied to us again. Women’s eggs don’t degrade over time to cause infertility. The sperm from men over 35 is the defect that leads to miscarriages, birth defects, basically everything they blamed our uterus for
We’ve been played
Sperm from men older than 35 is linked to increased birth defects.

I know men like to think they’re exempt from that 🙂

Trump issued an order pledging to defend Qatar’s security:
- Is it binding?
- Is the pledge mutual?
- Why wasn’t Congress involved?
- What are the policy risks?
