Aerospace inspector, school board president, sometimes writer; calling Northern Lower Michigan home. (he/him)
A truly EXCESSIVE stack of air cleaners.

My father in law was a special kind of car enthusiast.

Fun fact though: his small dog used to love running up the front of this car, and he’d sit at the base of the windshield. Made the FIL laugh.

Me. Being disingenuously jolly.

Have a productive Boxing Day.

This old sign used to be affixed to the rear end of my father-in-laws race car trailer in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s.

Just now noticed the misused version of “your” where it should say “you’re”.

I guess at least whomever painted this was confidently wrong.

1. I look forward to all the trappings of the holiday season.
2. I don't know you, so I don't know what you celebrate, but I want you to enjoy your celebrations.

A jury of my peers? 12 fat old white men, with only 30 seconds of attention span before being distracted by a shiny object?
A jury of my peers? 12 old white guys with bladder infections?
a jury of my peers? 12 cheese enjoyers?

I’ve been fiddling with this spare Muncie 4sp transmission. It’s kinda fun. Like adult legos.

Eventually, it’s going into the coupe under the cover behind it. So I will have to rebuild the trans at some point.

I’m looking forward to it.

My AI seems broken today
I requested creativity
But got nothing but em dashes, ellipsis
And half baked facts instead
All said with earnest sincerity
Tears in its electronic eyes

Is it really intelligence
Though artificial?

Or is it just a clanker
Drunk on water and electricity

You forgot to check the off switch again
You performed many clicks and pokes
All to no recorded avail
The machinery was not recording
You were never here
It never occurred

Proof of existence
Presence in the matrix
Something for the AI databases to steal
As they educate themselves to destroy us all

The 65 is stuck at 48,980 miles. Odometer doesn’t work. Speedo assembly needs to be rebuilt. Ugh.

It’s fine. Everything else works pretty good., for a 60 year old car.

Recently met up with Benny The Beard Troll, in Germfask, MI.

HE IS A DARN TREASURE!

When the world seems bleakest, go sit with Benny for awhile. Watch the water go by.

Promote my book day, apparently?

Aviation poetry and stories in verse, with a focus on the POV of a mechanic.

It’s strange, it’s different, it is An Aluminum Bitch.

I’ve had decent feedback on it, and it is my best effort to date.

Check it out!

Yet I persevere.

The dogs couldn’t care less, as long as I play with them on demand.
