I’m a lawyer in DC, writing here in my spare time.
Not only is Pete Hegseth a murderer, he desecrates the images of beloved children’s book characters. Honestly, the man fits the profile of a psychopath.

Episode 46: Sapiens

It's an ambitious goal to write the entire history of humanity in just 400 pages. It's even more ambitious to do it without reading any research.

And, in fact, she did.
The remarkable thing is that this is exactly the kind of corner an inexperienced attorney in over her head would try to cut. It makes perfect sense Halligan would do this.

You do this so you can describe the national security risks of releasing the information.
My god (sorry I’m late on a bunch of this stuff. But wow!)

According to this NYT report, the head of the FBI and the Attorney General are holding meetings *in the Situation Room* with GOP lawmakers they are trying to pressure to rescind their votes to release the Epstein info. This is madness.

So maybe the Democrats were thinking ahead: End the shutdown, start releasing Epstein emails, see where we are in January . . .

Well, well, well. As I predicted. It made no sense for Trump to be so enraged that a club member hired away a staff member, unless Trump knew what Epstein was up to.
This cannot be the whole story. What grown-up with multiple business interests throws a member (and “close friend”) out of one for hiring away a teenage spa attendant?

The scale of Trump’s reaction suggests something more was going on.

Possibly the R’s came to the dems with an ACA funding method the Dems felt was serious enough to merit discussion. The leaks are meant to create pressure, both for and against. Doesn’t necessarily mean the Dems are taking a bad deal. They are holding the cards. Hope they don’t blow it.
I’ve pinged around a bit today to plugged in sources in and off the Hill (both parties), and the initial read I’m getting (in some cases unexpectedly) is the movement is real

Now, that a diff than a done deal or that it’s irreversible esp if there’s suddenly a surge of pressure, but I think it’s a…
Yeah, despite the rumblings from other reporters this still feels like another bit of Axios wishcasting.

What's for certain is that any Democrat who votes to cave now and betray the base in exchange for nothing at all will live to regret it.

How can anyone believe this man has any understanding of economics? High beef prices are good for ranchers and bad for consumers/restaurants. And, the prices are being inflated due to his tariffs creating demand for domestic cattle.

When Trump and the Republican leadership agree to all the Democrats' demands (as they will, because TACO), the Dems should agree to a CR, and immediately ask for so much more.
