Molecular quantum wakes, generated by femtosecond laser pulses, can efficiently clear out a channel through fog/clouds of any water droplets, allowing a 'main beam' to pass through unimpeded:

Not all gazelles live in Africa! Goitered gazelle is native to a vast area from Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan through central Asia all the way to northwestern China and Mongolia.

Though widespread, its' population is in steep decline due to poaching and habitat loss.
