The long awaited results of the Brazilian Reproducibility Network are in! Their final sample consists of 97 replications of 47 studies. The only coherent measure of replication, p<.05, shows a replication rate of 19%. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

When scientists publish studies there is is usually a statement that funders had no role in the design or other steps of the study. The political interference here takes all credibility out of the science. 🧪 Compromises integrity by mixing sex and gender. It is unacceptable.

I'm still finalising (especially figures and the tutorial in Ch. 2), so would love feedback!

Cortical maturation unfolds hierarchically, endowing the PFC with extended plasticity. But do timeframes of plasticity vary across PFC layers?

With 7T quantitative myelin imaging, EEG, and cognitive data, we uncover heterochronous laminar maturation in the PFC 1/n. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

The Vice President is a long time adherent of a bunch of self described monarchists, neofascists, and race realists and the press has never showed it an ounce of interest. Maybe 1/20th of the voting public has any clue. If you want to learn about it you have to go to podcasts and independent outlets

Just found out NIH has officially canceled our grant, a longitudinal study of Alzheimer's disease in Black Americans. I cannot even put into words how angry I am. The truth is they are canceling it because it has Black in the title. That's it, there is no other reason to do this.

“saving money” can only come in the form of ripping benefits away from the poor, never collecting from the rich what they owe us

IRS cuts are exactly the opposite of government efficiency, and exactly the point of the kleptocracy
To review what we from @washingtonpost.com are reporting out of the IRS today:

- Projected tax revenue this year is down 10% ($500 billion) as Trump's downsizing is emboldening tax cheats

- IRS is nearing an agreement with ICE to assist on mass deportations

So, best we share all the footage we can here!
