When we call someone a monster we erase their choice. We remove accountability.
We say "this is who you are," and we act as if there is no possible outcome other than one in which this person caused/causes great harm.

Every once in a while I think about this and am very tempted to make an extremely cursed "official" list of lickable states.
Some of the best fun I had in 2020 was combining this with a chart of which states are elements to determine which states are lickable.
