I was at a Verizon store and this couple was trying to close out the account of this man’s sister. He had her death certificate on him. They tried yesterday, they previously went to a store in a whole different state, and they still struggled. Capitalism strips our dignity so brutally and mundanely.

If we begin to understand that what unite Latinx peoples is not flan, but rather the centuries of struggles with European and U.S. colonialisms, it will be a lot easier to understand the significance of Black liberation to Latinidad.

media clearly know how to cover victims and avoid victim-blaming narratives, because I haven't seen any rush to demonize the UnitedHealth CEO by bringing up the insider trading or his DUI or his secret separation
