We need an urgent inquiry in the UK into foreign interference in our politics & media.

…one which needs to advise rules for Parliament to enact before the next General Election hits.

NEW 🚨 Britain's electoral laws are broken - but successive governments have done nothing

Musk's proposed $100million donation to Nigel Farage shows we are on the cusp of a real crisis for British democracy

But it can be fixed. Here's how, by me

Things we've learned from the election
1. The far right has been rejected (now let's stop giving them air time).
2. Posts and followers on social media don't reflect real life (they are mainly bots and/or not from Ireland)
3. The Irish pay no heed to Musk, and he doesn't have influence here!

Starmer's government needs to get on top of this and stop the dodgy money in politics because the Tories certainly won't!
The Observer had early sight of our report out next week on the money that funds UK election campaigns.

We found that gaps in political finance rules are failing to stop money from questionable sources being funnelled into our politics.

Important context here:

● over half of farms are less than 49 acres (20 hectares)

● "a big farm" is 217 acres.

Now let's see who's angry:

● Clarkson farm is 1,000 acres
● Lloyd Webber farms 4,000 acres
● Viscount Rothermere (Mail owner) 4,700 acres
● Dyson owns 36,000 acres
A message from a REAL farmer who hasn’t been brainwashed by the Tories, wealthy landowners and the right wing media👇🏽

Opportunistic spin from the Lib Dems.

The IHT change is not a 'family farm tax'. It's an inherited wealth tax, on assets over £1.3m (x2 for a married couple). It's closing a loophole.

Actually, it's *still* a subsidy: the rate farmers pay is 1/2 that of non-farmers. And they get 10 years to pay it
