opinions have been thoroughly voiced, so i'll just say that it's time for a zero-tolerance policy on skeuomorphism, gradients, and swooshy curves not dictated by some underlying functional form. you can convince me that any of these *can* be done well, but you can't convince me it's worth it

Forget hydrogen or batteries. Just electrify trains like the rest of the world, with simple overhead line that allows efficient engines to pull power direct from source.
