Also remember that the Tories and Reform are unwilling to fix any of the true problems in Britain today, so they have to survive on finding small grievances and amplifying them. Their entire message is that the country is in crisis, so if problems actually got fixed it would be a disaster for them.3

Well done Zohran Mamdani! Be prepared for the constant insults thrown at you and your city from Republicans but never let it get you down. Do your utmost to help improve the people of NYC's lives, like our mayor did with ULEZ to help combat air pollution.
London mayor sees parallels in Zohran Mamdani’s victory: ‘Hope won’
Sadiq Khan, the city’s first Muslim mayor, says: ‘We are united by something far more fundamental, our belief in the power of politics to change people’s lives for the better’

There were no small boats before Tories and Farage broke Britain's economy with their bonkers Brexit.

Asylum seekers are all human beings. Most are refugees seeking help from a country that they believe has compassionate people.

Badenoch should spend less time on anti social media and stfu.

Another thing that interests me is the tactical voting for Plaid. Whilst I support PR, which means people are more likely to vote for their preferred candidate; under FPTP, tactical voting is often essential and I believe that it could play a part in hopefully stopping a Reform majority.

Well done to the people of Caerphilly for keeping Reform out. It would have meant cruel austerity and stupid culture wars, and Reform's pledge to limit immigration clearly shows they were unable to tailor their platform to fit the concerns of the locals where only 2.9% were born outside Caerphilly

While the Queen was on the throne, it was a different matter.

With her passing it's time to ask - perfectly reasonably - who the institution of monarchy serves and whether this one family should rule over us all in perpetuity... with almost zero accountability

Hereditary power is offensive nonsense in 21st century.
For much of the 1960s and 1970s, Prince Andrew was second in line to the throne and could - had tragedy struck - have become king three years ago.

Those who oppose a republic on the not entirely convincing grounds of "I don't want a President Farage/Blair etc" might do well to contemplate that one.
