apart from its inherent qualities as a comic strip, I really appreciate that Watterson resisted the urge to franchise and merchandise C&H. There's no animated movie, no tv show, no line of toys, no ipad game.

it exists in its entirety as a comic strip written and drawn entirely by one man.
Happy birthday to Bill Watterson, the creator of Calvin and Hobbes! Born on July 5, 1958.

The Google AI results at the top of searches are so pointless. We have a resource (the internet!) that knows everything, and instead of going to the source, it's like you asked your stupid cousin who is trying to recall the information from a podcast he heard last week.

The Peloton class I just took was all love songs, except there was instruction to replace the word “love” with “lunch.” I hope I never forget this anytime I hear a love song.

All you need is lunch. FRT

I remain trapped in 1980s warm department store fluorescent feel lighting with the aggressive yellow cast lights in my house. My brain hurts.

My husband seems to have transitioned all the lighting in the house to very warm tones. I live in a yellow cast now and my life feels like some episode of WandaVision. Please send help.

Tell me your favorite way to unwind after working with people all week.

I’ll go first. Shelter pups. This is Chowder and he’s at Marion County Dog Shelter in Salem, OR. Winking due to rain.
