My adult life has seen: 9/11, Taj attack, dotcom bubble, 2008 financial crisis, COVI and the resurgence of authoritarian govt via populist nationalism worldwide. & climate change underlying it all. This seems like such a hopeless point in time, a quarter century of upsets and crises.

Have struggled with this so much. Had to get myself a vinyl habit—with all its expensive rituals—in order to push back against this dysphoria.
it's a bad trick my brain plays on me that being depressed gives me an aversion to listening to music, the one thing that consistently makes me feel better
