I think something that bugs me but also fascinates me about a lot of Dracula adaptations is just how many fail to properly adapt Jonathan Harker. I can’t think of many other books that have multiple adaptations where they straight up ignore and change the main character of the source material

One of the things that's always charming to me about Batman: TAS is that it's usage of constant anachronism lets it age pretty gracefully. It takes place in this hypnagogic version of Gotham where secretaries still use typewriters but there's also futuristic supercomputers.

No disrespect to Colman Domingo, Clarence Maclin, and Brandon Wilson, all of whom are terrific, but three men sweeping the Gotham acting awards in a year with Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Nicole Kidman, Danielle Deadwyler, Mikey Madison, etc. is why I'm not wild about gender-neutral acting categories.

The audiobook debate is remarkably narrow. Reading aloud was a group activity for centuries and I actually argue that people who struggle with classic lit should try an audiobook as it was likely that the original audience enjoyed it aloud.
