I’d love it if I could sleep more than 5 hours in a night again. I really dislike being so caught up in my emotions that it messes with my sleep so much.

This is a really interesting look at the stories we tell ourselves after we figure out we are trans. For me I think I knew pretty well when I was young, that understanding was hindsight being 20/20. So I don't know for sure if that memory is true. All I do know for sure is I was 31 when I came out.
Why do we expect trans folks to know that they were trans at the youngest possible ages--4 or 5 or even younger--when we know so many of us take so much longer to figure it out? It's time to talk about The Story, as Stained Glass Woman returns with a mega-sized, 5,000-word article!

The last 48 hours have shown why people have stopped relying on legacy journalism and have migrated to independent journalists in droves.

The benefit of legacy journalism is supposed to be “editors” and “factchecking” and they can’t even get that right in a rush to blame trans people.

“There is no place for political violence in this country” say the politicians using legislation and rhetoric to attack trans people, immigrants, women and BIPOC daily. Just because it’s done with a pen and not a gun doesn’t mean it’s not political violence. Hypocrites. Not that they care.

I am seeing a LOT of people misleadingly say "The senate will not pass this, they'll filibuster."

IF Democrats filibuster, that means the government shuts down. This was a major reason the NDAA restrictions on tricare for trans youth passed last time, Dems did not filibuster.
1. The HHS Appropriations Bill is out and it contains several devastating anti-trans provision.

It would bar federal funding for trans youth and adult care nationwide, which could be used to bar hospitals from providing it at all.

Will Democrats stand firm, or cave to avoid a shutdown?
House HHS Appropriations Bill Would Devastate Trans Adult Healthcare Nationwide
The bill would bar federal funding for any "social, psychological, behavioral, or medical intervention" to treat gender dysphoria.

To my 🏳️‍⚧️ family, know that there’s nothing more feminist & honorable than choosing to affirm your gender identity despite society telling you to be something else.

Trans women, you are showing that there is worth in being a woman, despite patriarchy telling us womanhood is something to be ashamed of

Ok, so I’m putting this out there. If you could share this as widely as possible, I’m hoping the creators of Ted Lasso could potentially see this and maybe have some 🏳️‍⚧️ representation in their newly announced season 4🤞

This administration's attacks on trans people aren't "a distraction" from everything else they're doing. We're not a distraction. What they're doing to trans people is the most bad thing of all - everything else being done is to distract people from the targeting of trans people for extermination.

To my 🏳️‍⚧️ and queer siblings out there, I know things are scary and insane right now. It is happening and you are not crazy for seeing it for what it is.

That being said, don’t give in to despair. We’ve been here before. 🧵

Honest to god, the legal orgs and attorneys need to sue one of the hospitals in one of these blue states with civil rights protections for not providing trans care to trans youth.

The lawyers at these hospitals only understand legal threats.

They are complying with Trump because they're scared.

Contradicting claims that Europe is moving away from gender affirming care, France issued new guidelines reaffirming gender affirming care for trans youth. A similar one is expected in Germany soon.

I have a feeling the New York Times won't report on this.

Horror video game protagonists coming across ammo early in the game before scary stuff has happened:

“Huh, just some ammo lying around in the only kitchen drawer I can open. Well, that’s not ominous. I don’t even have a gun but I guess I’ll put it in my pocket for noooooo reason.”
