Oscar Isaac on coming back to Star Wars: depends. Only if they don’t succumb to fascism.

Living up to the resistance fighter he played 👏

The corrupt SCOTUS thankfully rejects Kim Davis’ bid to overturn queer marriage equality.
As others have said: Get f**** Kim Davis!

I’ll be over here happier in my queer marriage than she’ll ever be ✌🏼

The SCOTUS decided to do trump’s bidding and is allowing the US administration to block gender marker changes on passports. This corrupt court would rather put a target on trans people’s backs than uphold the law and the constitution.

Between Zohran Mamdani winning while standing firmly by trans rights, and Erica Deuso becoming the first trans mayor of a town in Pennsylvania, it shows that there’s more decency out there than there’s hate.

Holy sh*t I’m so happy NYC! You did it! You actually did it 🎉
Congratulations Mayor Mamdani 💜

From @glamour.com featuring nine trans women for its women of the year award, to Joanne being big mad about it, and finally to the EHRC backtracking on its segregatory efforts in the UK.

A few things have happened in the UK, so let’s talk about it.

You’re angry at Trump? You should also despise Cheney. Despite voicing his opposition to him, Cheney helped create this monster.

If you forgot how terrible of a person he was, might I suggest the movie Vice to at least give you some idea.

For context, Brianna a few days ago said she realized how vicious the right is and how appeasing them hasn’t worked.
Yet she still refuses to be accountable for the harm she’s done to not just the trans community, but to others as well with her racism and Islamophobia.

“I guess if we're gonna date, you may have to defeat my seven evil exes.”

Also, found this random hammer just lying there and now my PowerUp is… electric.
It’s cool I guess.

One of the candidates for Ensemble Montréal, a journalist by the name of Leslie Jones, wrote an entire opinion piece in the National Post this last summer that oozed contempt for the queer community. Being especially transphobic in its framing and talking points.

CW: Assault on trans woman in Thailand

What starts out as a violent tourist assaulting a local trans woman in Thailand after he reportedly tried to rob her following services rendered. It ends with her friends, including trans women, defending her and dragging him to the cops.

Gavin Newsom tries the “I have a trans Godson, I can’t be transphobic” defence while claiming there’s no one better than him on queer issues (that’s been interviewed by KQED). Which is a bold, but likely unsubstantiated claim.

Tweeting isn’t enough though.
Actions speak louder than words.

We lost a sister last week, Lia Smith, who deserved a much kinder world.
And while she’s unfortunately far from the only one we lost this year, we need to talk about the broader problem of this institutionalizing of transphobia across the US and many other countries.

It’s voting time in NYC (by Nov 4th) and Montréal (by Nov 2nd)!
Make sure to go out and vote!

NYC: you’ll find no better candidate than Zohran Mamdani.
MTL: avoid Soraya and Ensemble Montréal. They have proudly racist, transphobic, and misogynistic candidates with little vision for the city.

In good news for trans athletes in Minnesota, the supreme court sided with athlete JayCee Cooper, citing clear discrimination by barring her from participating as a woman.

Part 2 of today Montréal Municipal Elections coverage.
Including front-runner Soraya Martinez Ferrada, as well as incredibly problematic mayor of Hampstead, Jeremy Levi. Who you may remember, called for the annexation of Gaza…

Montréal Municipal Elections: let’s talk about Transition Montréal and its leader, Craig Sauvé.

And yes, we need to address the allegation against Craig from 2012

We didn’t hate Kim Davis nearly enough when she wanted to insert herself in couples’ lives years ago.

The SCOTUS is considering her case to demand overturning queer marriage equality on November 7th.
This is a continuation of what we heard back in August. We just have a date now.
Breaking: U.S. Supreme Court to consider whether to revisit marriage equality
The justices will privately decide whether to hear a challenge to same-sex marriage brought by former Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis.

As a trans person and a woman, the only sensible candidate for NYC Mayor is @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social

Make sure you go out to vote and make your voices heard 🏳️‍⚧️ Don’t be complacent and think it’s in the bag when so many billionaires have vowed to meddle in this important election.

The trans “tipping point” was around 2012, and I came out not even 4 years ago.

Y’all couldn’t have given us a few decades before sliding into authoritarianism 🫠

Far-right Sanae Takaichi is now the new Prime Minister of Japan which could set it on a course for a potentially disastrous future.
However, she’s two seats short of a majority. Meaning, the opposition parties could still stop the worst from happening.
Only time will tell now.

Japan goes far-right…
After an initial coalition break by Komeito, Ishin joined instead to give Takaichi the winning votes.

This spells disaster.

Why they’re problematic, and why you should contact your MPs immediately to stop them.
