This is a Bill Simmons game, but you’re stranded on a desert island. You can only have one actor’s filmography. You get it all, including cameos. But just the one performer.

I’m taking Cate Blanchett: Talented Mr. Ripley, LOTR, Life Aquatic, Black Bag, Tár, Ponyo, Hot Fuzz, Eyes Wide Shut, Thor

we're bringing back the actual definition of "emotional labor"
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

It is very weird to me that a national professional organization advances this hostage argument. You don't shape how a technology is being used by outsourcing teacher training to the monopolizing companies that promote this technology.
AI is already in our schools, impacting how lessons are planned and how students learn in and out of classrooms. We have to ensure educators, parents, and students shape how AI is being used, so it’s not simply imposed on them. www.aft.org/sites/defaul...

Absolutely sickening.
Wow—15 international students at the University of Central Florida have had their visas revoked as a result of the school's signed partnership with ICE. One was detained. Literally handed over to immigration cops by their own university. Despicable.
