Tonight I made seared tuna steaks and colcannon for dinner

Colcannon
Putting together your St. Patrick's Day feast? Make sure there's room for colcannon, one of Ireland's most famous potato dishes, on the table.

Great as a snack with a little salt, or in stir fry and grain bowls. I even made a really tasty edamame pesto! Edamame is one of my fav most versatile veggies 🥰
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but a 1/2 cup serving of frozen shelled edamame has 8g of fiber and 9g of protein.

I cooked a big ol pot of barely soup for dinner. I roughly used a recipe, but added in potatoes and a little cream and a lot of seasonings.

I also made berry jam bars and they turned out so good! I used raspberries 😊 (and a recipe from tomato mountain farm!)

Rice cooker forever. Recently discovered the air fryer and I'm never going back
Everybody has two kitchen appliances that will change their life. The problem is, they're different for everybody.

A lil worried about my sourdough starter (it seems like it doesn't wanna rise anymore and also I feel like I'm not confident in how much to feed it) but I'm gonna keep going and see how it goes!!

We really have been conditioned to think about what not to eat when we think about wanting to improve our health.

I want to encourage you to completely ditch that mindset and instead think about what to add to how you eat now.

Yes! Boycott Amazon!!
Wider than books, we drastically reduced our use of Amazon last year.

Without paying more as they're so rarely the cheapest anymore.

Whack what you're looking for in Google and eBay. In the vast majority of cases we found the same thing for less or the same price, and found some cool little shops.

Bfast: banana smoothie
Lunch: leftover chow mein with a cabbage slaw. My partner pulled out tomato squash chickpea curry from the freezer + threw it over homemade fries.
Dinner: salmon fillet and crunchy Thai peanut salad by Cookie and Kate. This was delicious! Absolutely going to make again

I grew up on a homestead and moved to Chicago when I was 18. This year I'm dedicated to becoming more connected to my food again. I found out that Chicago has free compost drop off locations. I signed up for a CSA box. I'm learning how to make bread and yogurt
I'm really excited :)
