This is 100% true. There is a lot of long tail payoffs as well. A lot of what you are trying to do is build up awareness of yourself, and that happens on a long time line
A marketing truth #TTRPG folks don't like is that it's a game of consistency.
I know, it sucks that you have to get up and do it every day and it never ends, but that's kind of the nature. There's always going to be a lot vying for people attention and as an indie, consistency is your tool.

Well I'm expecting another surge of new folks joining bluesky so here's some tips I have for those joining

So true. The play at the table is only part of the play. Languish in your prep times, draw joy from your research. I love this part of ttrpgs as much as I love the social "at the table" time.
