I do think young people should have access to puberty blockers if they want them but they should also have access to full, normal HRT if they want. Trans people should be able to go through puberty at the same age as and alongside their peers.

I wrote an article in January about where we have ended up in English law re. "deception as to sex", and what that means for trans people. I think it's likely we can expect to see more of these sorts of cases going forward.

This is now the blueprint for men to control trans women. Have sex with them and then threaten to go to police unless they do what he wants. It's ripe for abuse from men who will weaponize their shame. It also builds their narrative of trans women being sexual predators even when the victim.

They pulled the same shit with youth care. Made it seem like every kid who walked in was put on blockers and hormones. The reality was there was a 5 year wait list and most kids aged out. Instead of increasing access, they shut it down and now are implementing conversion therapy centers in the NHS.
