Inauguration?
Trump on the ballroom: "It's bigger than I told you. It's, you know -- after realizing we're gonna do the inauguration in that building, it's got all bulletproof glass, it's got all drone, they call it drone-free roof. It's dronessss -- won't touch it. It's a big beautiful safe building."

When the people who Trump pardoned get arrested again for a new crime, which has happened many times already with more to come, do they have to pay double for the second one?

WATCH — @jessicatarlov.bsky.social : “I felt like I was watching a Helsinki redux when Trump said Putin told him he didn’t interfere with the election… Trump just had the audacity to say Russia wants to see Ukraine succeed.”

So weird how Trump keeps doing Putin’s bidding!🤷🏼

I’m sure Ukraine can trust Trump’s “security guarantees” in a peace deal. Nothing to worry about. His word is solid. Like oak.

"In 2018, standing next to Putin, Trump ignored U.S. intelligence and publicly said he believed Putin when Putin denied interfering in the U.S. election. The facts didn’t matter then — and once again, intelligence, context, and verification were set aside in favor of Putin’s word."

uggh. thanks, @asharangappa.bsky.social.

and who would get to determine what constitutes "acts of aggression against the United States" for issuance of the letters of marque and reprisal? what is the even ostensible need for this new Wagner Group?
Heads up that this is authorization for Trump to create his own version of the Wagner Group. Which would bring the number of “armies” at his disposal to four:

*regular armed forces (most regulated)
*ICE (minimally regulated)
*private mercenaries (?)
*MAGA thugs/militias (rogue)

All pardonable

This is functionally equivalent to - & equally illegitimate - as Russia invading Ukraine. As @nicholasgrossman.bsky.social notes: "the US wasn’t attacked by Venezuela, someone based in Venezuela, or anyone else. There’s no self-defense argument, and the US didn’t even try for UNSC authorization."
The US is at war with Venezuela.

No Congressional authorization, no public debate, no clearly stated goal, no casus belli, and a gradual ramp up rather than big opening, so many haven’t noticed (or deny it). But this attack removes the ambiguity.

US is at war with Venezuela. With no end in sight.

The entire world knows how easy Trump is to manipulate.

It's really easy to get him to do anything you want ... other than hold Russia accountable for their crimes.
So Netanyahu met with Trump today and now Trump is threatening to bomb Iran again. Amazing how that happens.
