I've been a witness to a lot of changes on the internet and the social communities therein, and watching the ban of US TikTok go into effect was one of the most genuinely heartbreaking.
I don't care if it's just "a social media app," it's something we cared about being taken away.

We’ve disinvested from science education, from science journalism, and it’s good, actually, for independent people trying to make the world better to be supported.
