If you don’t like google’s dumb AI summaries in your searches, you can get rid of them!!
What can you do?
- Don't use genAI if possible
- Educate others on the costs of genAI
- Let companies know you don't want integrated genAI that you can't opt out of!
- Turn off genAI where possible. Eg Google's automatic, often wrong AI summaries:

So what I (a non expert) am getting out of this is that the danger is not Musk having your social security number per se. It’s that the guy who made a huge mess of Twitter’s verification system while trying to change it now may want to “fix” the nation’s payment systems

Should go without saying but the point of diversity in hiring is to find _better_-qualified candidates outside of stagnant social networks that don't reward merit, like the kind of network that would put an MTV personality with a marketing degree in charge of the Department of Transportation
