Some skills are simply non-transferable or non-existent.
In just three months in office, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has produced a run of chaos that is unmatched in the Pentagon's recent history. His inner circle — military veterans who, like him, had little experience running large, complex organizations — is in shambles.

As someone who’s studies, practices, and teaches leadership and management, I’ve long come to realize that it’s not all about strategy and tactics nor objectives and KPIs, but it’s about values. Values that enrich the person: the practitioner, their colleagues, and society in general.

And also a choice that many are defaulting to …
Say what you will, "I was afraid so I capitualted" is a coherent moral philosophy.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R): "We are all afraid…I am oftentimes very anxious myself about using my voice because retaliation is real."

The ideology of the moment is opposition.
I don’t think the ideology matters at all. I think the next Democrat who might be president will be someone who gets grassroots support and has authentic momentum. Right now the far and away leader by those measures is AOC.

The United States is the richest country in the history of the world. But who benefits from those riches?

Consider: the richest 10% of Americans hold nearly 70% of the nation’s wealth – while the bottom 50% hold just 3%.

See the problem?

Much as we’d like to change hearts and mind, we can’t and we don’t. It’s the person whose heart and mind we hope to change that does it themselves. The best we can do is live by example and offer reasons for change.

“Don’t capitulate. They’ll take your funding anyway.”

DEI, Higher Ed ..,
I have zero patience for “do climate work but just don’t call it that”.

I am not talking in code about an existential threat bc a handful of Americans like profiting off oil and gas & have managed to brainwashed another handful of Americans.

Don’t capitulate. They’ll take your funding anyway.
