the “thanksgiving food is bad” discourse raises its ugly head every year, but the truth remains that thanksgiving food can be amazing as long as you know how to cook. the problem is we’re throwing a few million sunday drivers directly into a grand prix
I think this is unfair to turkey. turkey is good but hard to cook well because it is so damn big. turkey *parts* are great but lack the esthetic appeal of a centerpiece bird.
it is tired to the point of cliche to say if turkey was good, people would make it more than once a year. but it is understated that at least one American explodes every Thanksgiving in a brave attempt to make the main dish more palatable

There is a crossing guard and a marked crosswalk with a stop sign in front of the school down the street and every week I watch people just blow through both when school lets out

also constantly parking in the marked bus drop-off spot
A driver hit an elementary school student with a car, 500 ft from Tulip Grove ES in Bowie, after school. The crosswalks at the intersection are unmarked. The principal asked parents to "discuss safety precautions with [their] child" & reminded "all families to please drive slowly & carefully."

I wrote this piece because I only learned about pelvic floors a few years ago, despite having had one all my life. And then it turned out to be where I store all my issues. And then that turned out to be true for a lot of people www.wired.com/story/the-pe...
The Pelvic Floor Is a Problem
Everyone’s suddenly obsessed with the pelvic floor—physical therapists, MAHA influencers, me. Could this deeply misunderstood body part really be the seat of so much modern dysfunction?

For today, Trans Day of Remembrance, I want to say I love my trans friends and I am sad that we need to have this important day. I want to be able to live and laugh with you now and that's the world I hope for.

Today is the Transgender Day of Remembrance. Trans people have literally always been here; every time I see someone sneering "oh but there were no trans people when I was in high school," well. I dated a trans girl in high school, and was close friends with a trans guy.

Hello! today is 🎂🎉MY BIRTHDAY! 🎉🎂

For my birthday, plz read what is up of my webcomic/signal-boost this skeet? It would mean a lot to me!

Only 50 pages so far. It hasn't updated in ages, but I'm still working on it. Updates will resume when the backlog reaches 50 pages.

Went to a birthday party for a kid in my oldests TK class, so a whole new group for us.

Was informed that my child has been described as the "mayor of room 2"!

...I think this is positive? It definitely, uh, tracks.

I immediately went and googled hyoliths and it was so worth it
And the Cambrian was when life had no idea wtf it was doing and was just throwing shit at the sea floor to see what would stick. So you get BIZARRE body designs, like hyoliths, which is basically an ice cream cone with a mouth full of tentacles and a clamshell lid.
