Voted early for Susan Crawford in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election. There's still time to make it to the polls and send a clear message that Elon Musk should stay the fuck out of our state politics (and our state)

Michelle Trachtenberg, Tony Todd, Shannen Doherty and Olivia Hussey were left out of the In Memoriam section at the Oscars. Whose job was it to write up the list this year? Do they not know how to google or check the NYT obits?

Just pile on injury to insult, sending us poor ADHDers to concentration camps. RFK Jr. is such a jackass.

I'm surprised Trump is just stepping back and allowing Musk to be president. Guess he's a coward whose dad will never, ever love him after all.

For about ten years I've thought about what a Tom Waits TV Christmas special produced in the early 80s would have been like. It's almost real to me. The set is a Depression-era shack he built and a stream of celebrity hobos keep knocking on the door and Tom goes "I wOnDEr WHo tHaT cOuLd bE"

If left and right 99.99%ers are able to demand change on healthcare, I'd be infinitely more optimistic about ... pretty much everything. A sincere conversation about a single point in common can humanize us even with our polar opposites (or people who have been presented as our polar opposites).

Quick reminder that with a suspect in custody, right-wing media especially (and all mouthpieces for the very wealthy in general) will be looking for any chance to re-establish division between the left and right. Class war benefits them. Anything that unites across party lines terrifies them.

"American folk rebel risks capture to bestow dazzling smile upon cute receptionist" is also a pretty great story beat.

Seen on Reddit: commenters noticing left & right subs alike are feeling justified & unified rage. So many Americans know someone who's lost their home, retirement, quality of life (or life full stop) because insurance denied adequate coverage, which is its sole function ffs - or should be.

Just saw "The Adjuster" proposed as a modern American folk hero alias and as a cancer survivor, I have to say I approve wholeheartedly.

I've never looked at surveillance cam stills and thought "wow, he's got a great smile" before, but damn, that guy's got a young Jake Gyllenhaal thing going on. Good for him.

Bill needs to change his name to Hackman. As someone once said, don’t try to explain Trump like he’s playing 3D chess. It’s more like he’s eating the checkers.

Hoping the incoming admin has enough self-interest not to destroy funding for the rural health clinics and community health centers that serve most of Appalachia and the American South, but I know they don't have the sense God gave a tadpole. Lots of overwhelmed emergency rooms on the horizon.
