That's part of the broken system. Even people who can afford insurance are still at risk of going bankrupt due to medical costs. Underinsured is just as much of a problem as uninsured - arguably more so, since there's often more of a social net if you're uninsured.

My first teaching job was at a summer program for the children of migrant workers, and the kids would often take a day here and there to help their parents in the field. Strawberries are the worse crop (in our area, according to my students) - backbreaking and horrible even by field labor standards.

My main takeaway from the 2019 TMBG concert in Madison was that more bands need brass. They put on a great live show and the trombonist was stunningly good.

I think it's important not to forget that the twin evils of misogyny and racism did a lot of heavy lifting, with the rage stirred up by right-wing media serving as constant steroid injections. (Across all groups, not just the Muslim community.)

Also true for riding in a car - I remember learning in childhood development courses to try conversing with teenagers while driving (in a low-pressure situation, not like a snowstorm or whatever), since people are less likely to feel self-conscious about difficult subjects when facing forward.

The newer SCOTUS conservatives said Roe v. Wade was safe, too, and still remain unimpeached for a brazen lie.
