DC Children's Hospital has just contacted me to tell me my reporting is "inaccurate" that they have stopped providing gender affirming care.

I believe in a harm-reduction theory of electoral politics, so I’ll vote, but I don’t have any allegiance to politicians or parties. I respect those whose theory of political change is different from mine, but we’re going to have to stop demanding that everybody follow the same path to get there.

The in-fighting within the various parts of the left and progressives (as it ever was) is about the pain and tension of different paths amidst the fear. I struggle because I have empathy for any way forward that lets you sleep at night, and helps you take care of the people you love. It’s all valid.

Lets be real, liberals thinking DEI was 'job done' and not making real institutional changes is as much to blame. It's easy dismantle because it was so flimsy in the first place

Normalize inconsistency in your art. Normalize not making every art piece super detailed and intricate. Normalize just creating art for the sake of it.
