The Frieran angle thing is so great because *every* artist knows that angle is tough. They've all been through it, learning the hard way how to do it.

One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

Thing that gets me about the conversation around Legends ZA is that everyone I see talk about the game freely admit to the story and setting being barebones, the gameplay isn't very good, and never really giving much critical outlook on what they *liked*...yet still call it a good game anyway.

Thing that gets me about the conversation around Legends ZA is that everyone I see talk about the game freely admit to the story and setting being barebones, the gameplay isn't very good, and never really giving much critical outlook on what they *liked*...yet still call it a good game anyway.

Speaking from experience, most ChanOtaku I've seen, the types who freely post trans suicide and genocide memes for "fun", are actually SEA in origin.
Why, I'm not 100% sure, but it's a shockingly consistent trend.

something blue archive understands very well about character design is the importance of variety in scope. a lot of characters in this game look very grounded (for the setting) and it helps the busier and more fantastical designs stand out more. and there's a lot of in between too

This is one of those movies where the critical discourse is going to be distorted both by people not understanding it as literally the latter half of one film, and by people with their own desired perceptions, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
