If you're using AI to write essays, eulogies, a text to your wife, I do think less of you as a person. Ceding your mental and creative abilities to a machine is an embarrassing thing and people should be ashamed to admit doing it in public.

This piece is actually bad, the writer doesn't understand the CONOPs of current CCAs and the origins of drones. The role of the drones the USN/USAF are pursuing isnt to replace the human but complement the human in otherwise dangerous environments.
Worth reading on high end UAV feasibility & issues, some might be overcome some though are intrinsic. They don't reduce personnel demands, merely shift it around. They aren't substantially cheaper, probably more expensive, even when factoring in lifetime crew cost....
