No major changes to the Brackets this time, but we've been working on clarifying some of the ~*vibes~* around each Bracket, including adding "safe turns" and delineating expectations for decks, win conditions, and gameplay.

I recommend reading Alejandra's full thread. Not only does she demonstrate the right's misrepresentation of statistics for their own means, but uses their own numbers to push back on the false narrative of rising trans violence.

This is all over Twitter as agitprop to eradicate trans people. If they should actual raw numbers, it would show the thousands of mass shootings committed by white men. But they purposefully distorted statistics in a purposefully skewed scale guaranteed to push trans people to the top.

These are habits I'm trying to implement in my own games. You can still have dramatic events in your narrative, but that needs to be coupled with enthusiastic support when your players want to respond in kind. Be flexible and empower your players to have their big moments.
No matter the system, the GM’s duty is to provide the necessary context for players to make informed and dramatic decisions. Stop gating crucial lore behind a skill check, a specific approach you want the players to take, or a hidden condition. Be generous with info, signal risks, and deliver. 🙂↕️
