Boy Mamdani's race is really a vivid reminder that anti-Islamic bigotry is 100% accepted in US public discourse. People don't even bother dog whistling, it's just right out in the open.

i hope to see enterprising democrats announce their intent to retire schumer and gillibrand over the next two years.
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

Pam Bondi was supposed to appear at CPAC's Summit Against Human Trafficking in D.C. today but abruptly withdrew at the last minute due to a "torn cornea."

Even if Bondi is telling the truth about having a blind eye as the head of Justice, I'd have come up with literally any other medical excuse.

If you refuse to endorse the overwhelmingly popular Democratic nominee for mayor of America's largest city, you should not be leading Democrats in the U.S. House
Hakeem Jeffries again declines to endorse Zohran Mamdani, saying "I don't know him well."

CHRIS HAYES: Why are you not endorsing the guy that won the democratic primary in a contested election in your backyard?

JEFFRIES: I didn't get involved in that primary election, and I don't know him well.

I just left the Everglades Immigrant Interment Camp. No, I’m not using their ridiculous name. It was a very tough to witness humans in those cages. Every Floridian should be ashamed that our taxpayer money is being used for this.

Republicans just passed a cruel, horrific betrayal of a bill that will leave Americans poorer and sicker — all in favor of giving a massive tax break to giant corporations and billionaires. Americans will die because of this legislation.

I voted HELL NO. My full statement:

Public lands are just that: public, and owned by the taxpayer. Republicans want to auction them off to the highest bidder to pay for their billionaire tax cuts. Hell no.
Federal lands in Oregon, other Western states could be up for sale under budget proposal
The sales would not include national parks, national monuments or wilderness, under the proposal that U.S. Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, included in the GOP's tax cut package.

We now know that the GOP's Big Ugly bill would allow for the sale of 250 MILLION acres of public land. 5.4 million in Washington state.

We can't let them jam this through in secret.

Help me say it loud and clear for Republicans: Public lands belong in public hands.

CMS projects 750k-2 million people will "lose coverage as a result of this rule" in 2026 but notes this may be an underestimate due to administrative burdens imposed by the rule (pp. 271-2). This is on top of millions CMS expects to lose coverage if enhanced tax credits expire this year (p. 260).

If finalized, these rules would result in a lot fewer people enrolled in Marketplace coverage, more hurdles to enrollment, higher out-of-pocket limits, etc.
