Yes and no. Easter eggs and callbacks can be interesting and fun and make sense. But there can sometimes be too much of it. Both Picard season 3 and Strange new worlds have suffered from this. On the flip side I do want to see new worlds and species.

You know what will absolutely never happen, but I want so bad, a Star Trek Lower Decks theatrical movie. I still haven’t seen the final season so please no spoilers if a continuation wouldn’t make sense, but as I feel now a big animated movie would be the coolest thing ever

The 90s were filled with Star Trek for me. Once a month I made the trip to the sci-fi store to pick up brand new vhs tapes of Voyager and DS9. I devoured them. After 7 seasons of both I had amassed 168 vhs tapes.
