need you to constantly remind yourself that the average normal person has no idea that any of the stuff we are rightly getting upset about is going on. they dont know. and we need to do everything we individually can to make them know.

Congrats to CHESSA member Sol Systems on their new partnership w/ American Farmland Trust & The Land Institute! Their Eldorado solar project is a great example of how solar & sustainable agriculture can work together. Exciting to see CHESSA members leading the way with innovative dual-use solutions!

In the US, up to 83% of new solar development by 2040 is forecast to be on farmland & ranchland, says the American Farmland Trust. This highlights the need to build solar on rooftops, brownfields, & already-developed lands — and to use #agrivoltaics.

Solar and farming in the same land area can retain functional use of farmland while adding emissions-free power generation.

I am so taking the time to complete the Yosemite survey I just got in the mail. Just wish there was a place to give them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for standing up for democracy.

I live in a blue state, our entire delegation is Democratic. It would be so easy to sit back and think - I don't have to reach out. There's nothing I need to do. But if you don't speak up, then who is? Who are your Senators and Representatives hearing from?

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Something else to understand about what is happening across the government is that all of those cancelled contract "savings" were funding thousands of non-profit/NGO employee salaries to do work the gov couldn't. Tens of thousands of people who are also at risk of being laid off.
Here's What DOGE Is Doing Across the Federal Government
Elon Musk’s DOGE team has people across the federal government, disrupting services, accessing data, and cutting staff. Here's a guide...

This is what we are all looking for from our elected representatives. Thank you @chelliepingree.bsky.social
Amid the flurry of extreme actions taken by the Administration, there’s one question I’ve been asked more than any other:

“What are you going to *do* about it?”

It’s a fair point—especially when the President has thus far avoided any real accountability.

I’ll do my best to address it. (1/14)
