They say it can’t be done, but here we are, California is generated 106% of California’s entire state electricity demand from renewables.
California has a population bigger that 154 other countries around the world. It’s the 4th largest economy, in the world.
Let that sink in.

This is trickle down economics:
Amazon makes billions and receives massive tax breaks from the Big Bullshit Bill then turns around and lays off 30,000 employees.

More uncomfortable facts left out of the TV series, Landman:
The fossil fuels industry is the largest subsidies reciepient in human history.
(Ironic given anti-renewables people love to clamor about renewables subsidies 🤦♂️)

What a great story: offshore wind turbines are being used for their biodiversity addition by growing seaweed on lines between turbines.
While the wind turbines generate clean energy, seaweed grows & helps regenerate the surrounding marine environment, while absorbing CO2 & excess nutrients.

The amount of places we can put solar exceeds total world energy demand by many times over.
To power the US (since we have those numbers) we'd need to cover 0.6% of the US with solar panels. (The US is big)
But 2% of the US is just *pavement*
1.2% reservoirs
1% buildings
etc

If you are someone that opposes renewables because you disagree with climate change, you’ve missed the main point:
Renewables are stand-alone better, cleaner or more sustainable way to power our homes, vehicles, businesses, supply chains.
It’s not political to not want cancer & premature deaths.

If “clean coal” is so clean as Trump claims it is, why not have Trump site his golf courses and hotels right next to them? 😏

If you ever wanted to know whether the US just offloads it’s plastic waste problem, here’s your sign (literally).
I took this picture at my local recycling facility just now.

23 million US federal acres are under oil & gas lease for potential drilling, with ~12.4 million acres actively producing.
So, no, I dont want to hear anything about land use for solar energy, which can also use rooftops, car ports, closed landfills, balconies, or even covering water canals.

Solar glass development is progressing: researchers achieved new solar windows with an optical efficiency of 18.1%.
The glass is coated with cholesteric liquid crystal, which opens up the ability to apply the technology to normal windows, which is big!

Solar EV tech is coming, and I’m all for it. Telo Trucks plans to launch a $40,000 truck as soon as next year that can get 15 - 40 miles of range a day from the sun alone.
Considering the avg US driver drives 37 miles day, millions could largely kick gasoline to the curb.

Finally! This solar canal is fully live, and it has many benefits:
— saves water, by reducing evaporation
— avoids land use for solar
— it’s easy to connect to the grid
— provides clean energy
— more effiicent production: the water cools the panels
This is a no-brainer project.

How many “1,000 year floods” every single year in multiple locations in the U.S. will it take for people to recognize this is climate change at everyone’s front door?!
Scientists — for decades — have modeled this & told you this is exactly what would happen.
It’s not a damn hoax; it’s science.
