Surprisingly rapid & high Ai adoption by doctors: 67% use it daily, 84% says it makes them better doctors, 42% says it makes them want to stay in medicine more (10% said less). A lot of the use cases appear to be administrative and research assistance. 2025-physicians-ai-report.offcall.com

New post just out:

"The Overshoot"

Net migration is collapsing, and will fall further over the coming years. We could even have net emigration.

What does that mean for the country and the political narrative as we head towards the next election?

Happy Hanukkah to our friends who celebrate. Rachel Posner, a rabbi’s wife in Kiel, Germany, took this photograph in 1931 -- a potent reminder that fascism must be fought in every generation, even if it's wrapped in an American flag and a red hat.

Under Trump's policy, Einstein, Faraday, Tesla and Orwell would be barred for being poor, but Paris Hilton, Donald Trump Jnr, Jake Paul, and Bonnie Blue would receive the red carpet treatment.

Genuinely fascinating to see Badenoch unable to keep up with her own shtick. The woman who thrives on being unpleasant and provocative in a defence of “free speech” now arguing that the problem is the impact of Farage’s words rather than the objective racism of them

This should be a wake up call to Keir Starmer. Trump is not a reliable ally.

Trump wants to weaken Europe and carve up Ukraine while cosying up to Putin. Britain and our allies in Europe must stand together against his threats and bullying.

"We"?

We, 🇪🇺, have a system of visas. We apply this to third countries.

You, 🇬🇧, rejected Schengen and then rejected citizenship multiple times in Brexit. You became a third country by choice.

So we 🇪🇺 will have the border system that suits our citizens.

A million times this. It’s incredible that the ‘big brains’ advising the Labour Party genuinely think that they can convert people who are fans of Farage to vote for Keir Starmer. It’s just not going to happen, however cruel your policies become.

Firstly, on this point, I don't agree with PM Starmer. Brexit didn't shatter the consensus (although it did release a lot of nasty demons into the open).

No, it revealed a UK that had failed to establish a consensus in 40-odd years of membership.
