Incredible story from SBS News about an unnamed second Middle Eastern man who kicked the younger murderer's gun out of the way - and because of his appearance he was briefly attacked himself.

This man is a refugee on a temporary visa and a hero. @tonyburkemp.bsky.social needs to fast-track his case

This incident has nothing to do with farmers

The man was not a farmer. He had a category B gun licence and 6 registered firearms - and he was living in the suburbs of Sydney.

Why? How?

Can the media reporting on news that the US agrees it is “worth continuing” with AUKUS, stop pretending that it’s some sort of big surprise that Trump agrees it’s worth taking our billions of taxpayer dollars for second rate submarines they don’t even have to provide?🙄

The proposed changes, which the government claims are needed to combat AI-generated requests, would also reduce what documents can be released

Don Farrell asked why after all this time, the #NACC still hasn’t made any major findings of corruption.
“That’s an indication that the system is working. There is no corruption, & I say that's a good thing!”

Appalling response. It doesn’t even make sense. Makes my blood boil.

How much longer is this farce of a sideshow going to continue?

NACC Commissioner, Paul Brereton, is once again embroiled in controversy.

The NACC Inspector, Gail Furness is currently investigating several complaints against Mr Brereton.

His position is untenable.

This is what UNBEARABLE agony looks like.
Who knows for what reason this poor man was taken hostage - along with 1000s of other Palestinians - but we can easily imagine how his torment is compounded on learning that his wife and CHILDREN were murdered by the same brute forces that held him captive.
Mosab Abu Toha—

"A Palestinian hostage who’s just been released was told his wife and children were slaughtered by Israel while he was held hostage.

"His youngest daughter was turning two years old on Oct 18, in five days.

Labor & the Coalition rammed electoral reform laws through parliament to make it harder for minor parties & indies.

Now there's a bill to reduce transparency in the FOI system.

Yesterday I chaired a Senate inquiry hearing into the aged care system. The findings are SHOCKING.

No new home care packages have been released since June and the govt admitted that 121,000 people are waiting to get on the waitlist. That's on top of the 87,000 actually on the waitlist.
Senate inquiry hears home care wait lists hit 200k, people die waiting
Pressure mounts on the government following damning Senate Inquiry.
