It was great to speak to @crystaljane.bsky.social about Governor-General Kerr's dismissal of PM Gough Whitlam and the Whitlam govt - so much interest in this momentous event 50 years later and so much more still to be told. Listen to Crikey's CutThrough podcast and find out! #auspol
An utter privilege to ask Prof Jenny Hocking @palaceletters.bsky.social the burning Whitlam Dismissal questions of the Crikey team and subscribers.

I was gobsmacked at several points, but I think I hid it ok?

Watch on YouTube.

An outstanding article from Prof Peter Slezak: Jewish humanitarian and passionate, intelligent peacemaker.
You are flooded with information, I know. But this is definitely worth your time - and sharing.
"Time for a 'just peace' for all peoples in Palestine"
Among Palestinians articulating liberation as an inclusive project is Nasser Mashni, president of the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network, who said “If you have a problem with freedom and justice for everyone, the problem is not the chant, it is you.” #auspol #Palestine
Time for a 'just peace' for all peoples in Palestine
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Penny Wong took a long time just to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. And their belated declaration of Palestinian statehood is an empty gesture when we are still sending F-35 jet components to Israel.

This is what UNBEARABLE agony looks like.
Who knows for what reason this poor man was taken hostage - along with 1000s of other Palestinians - but we can easily imagine how his torment is compounded on learning that his wife and CHILDREN were murdered by the same brute forces that held him captive.
Mosab Abu Toha—

"A Palestinian hostage who’s just been released was told his wife and children were slaughtered by Israel while he was held hostage.

"His youngest daughter was turning two years old on Oct 18, in five days.

"You will not see this story on CNN, BBC, NYT, WP, or other MSM outlets."

Have you seen "The Hack" on Stan? (ITV in the UK.)
Essential viewing for all appalled by Murdoch media and the immense harm from "leadership" lust for profits. power, and embrace of toxic "causes".
An excellent review from Jane R Goodall follows.
