It is very funny to watch this moral-superioritizing between europeans and americans as a 3rd worlder.
I don't think the Americans, and yes, I mean all of you, are prepared for how hated you now are by everyone.

Its not going away folks. Youve lost all rights to speak to us without being told to go fuck yourselves.
Lutnick heckled in Davos. FT: “The gathering on Tuesday night descended into uproar after combative remarks from Lutnick, the people said, with widespread jeering, some guests walking out and appeals for calm from Fink.”

This part of AI damage is largely overlooked: exploitation of workers, mostly in the global south.

One thing that hit me from this article is that Michael, the exploited worker, could easily connect how the AI companies are emotionally exploiting him and their paying customers.

Wow .. and some media outlets are reporting this as "Elon Musk backs down"?!

What a load of BS!
Elon Musk's X will block AI tool Grok from altering images of real people to show them in "revealing clothing" in places where it is illegal.

It comes amid a global backlash over the tool being used to create non-consensual sexualised images of people. jrnl.ie/6927202

Stop focusing on personalities start focusing on systems.

For every tech billionaire y'all go into absolute fits over, they have 10,000 stacked psychopaths behind them that think, act and do exactly the same.

Uniformity of operations is so core to this. Any node can carry out the plan.

The international community IS very much enabling this war.

I wouldn't say the war started to punish the civilians —it is a conflict over control after all— but civilians are being actively targeted and genocided by the armed forces (mostly the RSF, but SAF et al. are not innocent).
Sudan’s war is not “nihilistic” chaos, nor is it a “civil conflict”, writes Yassmin Abdel-Magied This is a war against civilians, punishment for the people’s audacity in standing up to the military regime—and the international community is enabling it.
Sudan’s story is far from a tragedy
The country’s revolution was a successful and nonviolent democratic uprising. The west should remember that

The animating force at the heart of US conservatism currently is incandescent rage at the mere idea of women's autonomy and independence. An image of a smiling woman who looks insufficiently deferential for their tastes riles them up enough to tear up the social contract.
this is all it’s really about for them. Not domestic policy, not “economic anxiety”, just an endless desire to punish stand-ins for the Mommy who forced them take a bath, even if it tanks their own quality of life.

But I also think the boundary between state and private violence tends to break down in gender violence cases—eg in police and prosecutors’ famous indifference to sexual violence cases, an indifference which in practice gives state sanction to so-called private male sexual violence against women.

Hmmmm .. USians have a strange view of their military that normally kills (and sometimes, toture) only none USians.

I wonder who worked in Abu Gharib prison?! Can't be those innocent young guys who respect absolutely all lives of unarmed people.
soldiers are mostly young people who want to do something else with most of their life. They generally don't want to live the rest of their lives with the knowledge that they executed an unarmed mom

cops want to spend thirty years with the nickname "killer"
Civilians in combat zones become combatants in combat zones when you murder their family.

Nice diversion here.

Men tend to use their feelings as excuse and motivation for crimes, tacitly implying that their feelings are deeper .. the emotional damage they get when embarrassed or rejected is too big (compared to women's) that it kinda equal to actual physical annihilation.
She missed that men kill themselves when they get laughed at.
