🌡️ 2025 was 3rd warmest year on record, 1.47ºC above the preindustrial level
📈 2023-2025 is the first three year period above 1.5ºC (according to ERA5)
🌍 The last 11 years have been the warmest 11 years on record

But the 66,000 pieces of paper containing the data had been scanned.
With covid lockdown approaching we saw an opportunity to transcribe the data.

Two years ago I created this animation for the very severe storm tide that occurred on the night of 1st February 1953. Large areas were flooded an the east coast of England and the Netherlands. The atmospheric data are from 20CRv3 and the water level is calculated by the hydrodynamic model TRIM-NP.
