In THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, Jack Skellington sees something, decides it belongs to him, and pumps out an altered version of it that almost looks like the real thing (but which sucks and everyone hates) while nearly destroying the thing he claimed to be championing.

Looks like I wasn't the first to this either. Someday I will have an original thought, I promise you

Is 'Die Hard' a Christmas movie? Are the lyrics to "Baby, It's Cold Outside" problematic? What else can we rehash this season
I feel like there was a recent time where Ice Spice was popular/acclaimed that people have completely forgotten about. Ditto Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, ditto JK Rowling revealing Dumbledore as gay... not just "wow everyone got that wrong," just straight up forgot it ever happened

I don’t have a steady “profession” yet, but I’m an English major planning on going into editing. For me it’s always “So are you gonna be a teacher?” When I say no, they never have a follow up.
What’s the worst question someone can ask after you tell them your profession? For linguists, it’s definitely “how many languages do you speak?”, but I’m curious what else is happening to the rest of y’all out there?!

Starting a new social media account is so humiliating, especially on a platform where you don’t know anyone. Like do I do two truths and a lie or something
