In THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, Jack Skellington sees something, decides it belongs to him, and pumps out an altered version of it that almost looks like the real thing (but which sucks and everyone hates) while nearly destroying the thing he claimed to be championing.

Comes down to Actually Romantic and Wood, but if pressed I’d have to go with AR. It sounds bad, the lyrics are bad, and the entire thing is dedicated to sexually harassing a queer woman that Taylor (allegedly) tried to suppress the sales of.

Taylor’s been reminding me a lot of Jewel lately. The clumsy metaphors, the purple prose, the confident use of words/references that she doesn’t actually know. Waiting for her “casualty doesn’t mean that” moment.
